Actor Nathan Fillion has pretty good comics cred. Marvel Comics will see if that parlays into sales success when a graphic novel inspired by his “Castle” series is released this fall.

The star of Joss Whedon’s “Firefly” series has seen his Captain Mal Reynolds adapted to comics from Dark Horse, as well as his Captain Hammer from Whedon’s “Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.” After voicing Steve Trevor in the 2009 “Wonder Woman” animated film, he’s now voicing Hal Jordan, aka Green Lantern, in the animated film “Green Lantern: Emerald Knights,” due for release June 7.
