Nathan Fillion has spoken out about the cancellation of One Life to Live and All My Children.
On Thursday, ABC announced that it was calling time on both long-running daytime dramas.
Castle actor Fillion appeared on One Life to Live from 1994 to 1997 playing the role of Joey Buchanan. He reprised the role as a guest star in 2007.
“A moment of silence for a disappearing genre. OLTL & AMC, we’ll miss your hard work and talent,” Fillion tweeted on Thursday following news of the cancellations.
The Serenity actor was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 1996 for his One Life to Live performance.
A food-themed talkshow, The Chew, and a makeover show, The Revolution, will replace the soaps on ABC’s daily daytime schedule. [Source]
