“Castle” season 7, episode 9 spoilers reveal that Nathan Fillion’s Rick will grieve over the death of his celebrity idol, as Stana Katic’s Beckett is less than thrilled about the new case she’s working on.

After the wedding and honeymoon hangover, the show has come back to its normal format. This time, Rick Castle will have his own chance to live a boyhood dream of becoming an action star as he teams up with older action heroes to try to solve the mysterious murder of his celebrity idol.

In one of the scenes, Nathan Fillion’s Rick had on bandana around his head ala Rambo complete with the slow motion walk away from an exploding vehicle. Of course, he couldn’t quite keep to his tough character as he flinched when the blast occurred while the other action stars continued walking toward the camera.

“You have no idea how excited I am,” he beams as he squeezed in between two muscular dudes.

In another scene, Rick Castle can be seen running inside a bar while screaming delightfully, “I’m starring in my own action movie.”

But Beckett is not so keen about the new as she exclaims under her breath, “This is so cheesy.” Which Castle immediately downplayed to avoid offending his new friends, “she means amazing…”

The synopsis, which offered Castle” season 7 episode 9 spoilers, reads: “When the star of Castle’s favorite ’80’s action movie is mysteriously murdered, Castle and Beckett delve into the victim’s secret past and pursue his killer with help from a team of aging action heroes.”

Among the guest stars for the episode titled “Last Action Hero” include Krista Allen as Naomi Duvray and Ted McGinley as Brock Harmon.
